Good evening Sparky's Girl I understand your situation. I started out using Abeka, went to a few different other things then I am now back with Abeka. I was fortunate enough to win most of my books on Ebay. There is a free site for science curriculum and material. The membership is free and this...

What a wonderful choice you and your husband have made for your girls! When I first brought my daughter home for school, we started with an all inclusive package. It was good for that first year because I was so unsure of myself (still am unsure on many days!) However, today we use a much more flexible...

The history channel, PBS, BBC, discovery channel, National Geographic, etc. Another thing is to buy used cirriculum. An online...

So we pulled them out and have been addressing their weaknesses and playing up their strengths thru Sonlight curriculum. Everything is taught...

  • Would like your opinion please...

Just some background before my question: I'm not really new to homeschooling. I started pre-schooling my oldest and then we jumped right into ACE when he was in kindergarten. When my daughter was old enough we preschooled as well and then tried Abeka for kindergarten. That same year my son started...

Hi Christi, Nice to "meet" you! I have a couple of ideas for you. You may have to try out a couple of things to find what works for you, but here goes. There is a neat, free online site at www.oldfashionededucation.com . They have several free algebra resources there to try out. Also, your...

  • Curriculum questions

I've homeschooled my children in the past and realized they weren't getting everything they needed. They are in a public school at this time; but will be home on Feb. 1st to restart the homeschooling adventure. I am trying to find an inexpensive way to teach them without incurring one hundred...
