Any suggestions on how a visual learner teaches a listener?

I know I have to say everything in detail for my son to learn. He is pre-k and is learning well with what I am doing but I am afraid when we get into the more heavy stuff he will not understand as much. Any tips? ShawnaLee/Washington State
