    Checking Meetup.com is a good idea. You could also check cafemom.com ... they have a lot of homeschoolers in there ... I belong to 5 of the homeschool groups there! Good Luck and enjoy your child and homeschooling! :o)

    You could try to google "meetup" and see if they have a group in your area.

    I have found that if you can locate just one group it will often lead to the next contact etc. I think that I originally found my first group of homeschoolers via the internet by searching for homeschoolers that live in the same county...they have a local forum and from there I was able to make contact...
