Hello Christine, Thank you so much for your quick help! I will check out the ones that sound like the best fit for us. Broken Bow is way down in the S.E. corner of OK . I, the Granny, have never been there, but I am told it is beautiful, near a lake and resort. I am trying to help sort out everything...

  • Please help, new to home schooling

Hello, My son is just 16 months old and we live in Sultan, Washington. I know that in WA the legal maximum age to start schooling is 8 but I would like to start as soon as possible. What is the common age to start preschooling? My most important question is this, in WA it is required that the parent...

Dear onesassymommy, This is so adoreable! It makes me wish my kiddos were little again :) You are doing so many wonderful things! Hi Anri, Welcome to the Forum! Gosh, I have no idea where Broken Bow is! Sometimes homeschoolers are SO isolated that they get much of their support online, so I'm glad you found us. It looks like there are a few big groups in OK. Maybe you could network with them to find something closer to you...

  • Re: VERY NEW!

Christine Thank you for some advice! I will look into those areas today. It has been along time coming for us. Just before the christmas break another student decided to bring a knife to the public school my daughter was attending and wanted to stab her with it. That's when I started looking into...

Dear Dave and Marie, Welcome to the adventure! I admire you. This will be an exciting time for you and your family. Algebra is an incremental subject. That means you can't jump around from topic to topic like you can in science or other subjects. It would be best to settle on a program and stick...

They are very good in that the kids can watch a "whiteboard" presentation and listen to a lecture that explains every lesson in the book. My kids are ages 7, 10, and 13. The 13 yo is doing...
