  • Looking for Grammar (secular) curriculum for 8th grade

    Anyone have any sugestions on a secular grammar curriculum for the 8th grade? I am looking for something that has alot of sentence structure as well as Vocab, spelling reading, comprhension and with a teacher's manual, maybe an "all in one" package. Thanks for any help!

    AVKO (Audio, Visual, Kinesthetic,Oral) offers a nice LA curric. It uses a multi-sensory approach to learning and addresses all learning styles and abilities.     Many kids who like lessons that are not intimidating use online or CD-based curriculum. It seems to be better for many reading and attention issues. The current leader is either Switched on Schoolhouse (which had lead for years) or Time4Learning.com . Switched on schoolhouse is CD-based. Time4Learning...

    This is great!! I love it. I am trying to teach my 3 year old granddaughter and this will serve a few lessons. Rhyming words, the lesson you mention and a few others. Thanks for sharing this.

    We were talking about the b and d, and my daughter thought of her own way to remember.... The b is friends with the rest of the word, and the d is rude and turns its back. :) Smart girl! Maybe it will help someone else too.
