Re: California appellate court decision fallout
I am in Central Cal. and according to the HSLDA we are not supposed to change anything yet. We have been reasured that HSLDA and all other HomeSchool legal organizations are willing to take this to the Supreme Court if necessary. Just hold tight. :) Barbara

California appellate court decision fallout
Is anyone on the forum a California homeschooler? Have you changed the way you do anything in light of the appellate court decision regarding homeschooling? Christine Field HSI

Re: Anyone been contacted by school authorities?
Hi Sheila, North Carolina Home Educators has a great web site - http://nche.com/law.html . If you poke around there, you might find an answer to your question. Do you have an attorney you can call? christinefieldhsi

Re: Where did you get legal information about your state?
Hi Christinefield Homeschool Legal Defense Association and About.com from there I went to my local school board who directed me to our State's Department of Education website who sent me a GLCE (Grade Level Content Expectation) on CD.

Anyone been contacted by school authorities?
Has anyone on the forum ever been contacted by their local school authorities questioning their homeschooling? I'd like to hear about your experiences and how they were resolved. christinefield

Re: Where did you get legal information about your state?
The Homeschooling Legal Defense Association has information online about each state. You may also find a link on your state's department of education page as to requirements in your area. KBurke
