Hi! Thank you so much for your encouragement, and a lot of what you suggest is so helpful! I just want to be able to -proved a good environment for my daughter to learn in which is not too chaotic! Hi there, It is important when children are so young to encourage their creativity, imagination and curiosity. You might want to read a post that I just wrote on 5/1 re: early childhood. It's contents are geared toward questions re: homeschooling using a Waldorf/Steiner theory. If you read under...

karen, Thank you for your tips. He isn't very interested in the computer, so I haven't done much with him on it. He does enjoy playing some games, such as Leap Frog's Letter Factory, but he doesn't seem to get the letter/sound/name recognition from it. I am hoping he will get interested...

How can I get my almost 5 year old ready and willing to learn his K skills with a newborn to take care of too? My 2 year old will do anything his big brother will do, so I know he will want to participate as well. I have some ideas, but honestly he is LAZY and doesn't want to learn anything. He would...

  • How long?

Hi everyone. I was just wondering, if you use a "school structured" approach to homeschooling, how long are your scheduled lessons? I ask because I decided to use a fairly "school-like" timetable for my 14 year old daughter, Liana, as she has been in public school for 10 years, and...
