    We also have a focus on languages. My husband and I both work flexible hours and he speaks to our daughters only in Portuguese. He has been really good about keeping that up even though Portuguese is a second language for him as well. He also reads to them in Portuguese, and they watch films in Portuguese...

    That's inspiring!! What you're also describing is that your children are doing Mandarin--every day!! They must be learning it well. Are you parents also learning Mandarin? If so, I can see how great that would be and how it would lend itself to family activities. We did Latin--which has a lot...
