    We have 3 children ages 8, 11, & 14. We decided to have a chart with cards that they can choose from. Each card holds a specific chore with the amount that they get for that chore. They have to wait for me to tell them which of our stack needs to be done, then they get to choose. They do get paid...

    I like the ticket idea. It's a good lesson, too! I've adopted a card system. My girls start the day with a small stack of cards that each have basic chores on them.     Elsa, Toddlers and preschoolers can be challenging! I know, I have a 23 month old--the youngest of 4 children. He can make messes much faster than all the rest of us put together can clean them up! :-) Some things I have found to be helpful are: Limit the amount of clothing, toys, puzzles, books, etc...
