    We started using a program by Dave Ramsey that teaches kids to manage money. My kids are 11 and 9. They now have charts on the fridge that tell how much money they have earned and/or saved.     Our kids don't get allowance unless it is connected to a finished chore. They do each daily chore every day for five days and then get paid $1 per chore.
