Is there anywhere to actually plan each lesson?

Is there anywhere to actually plan each lesson?

Is the PER area simply for scheduling or is there somewhere where I can actually plan my lessons?  I home preschool...and we are not on a strict hourly schedule, therefore, I am finding the PER a bit restrictive.

I was looking for something to help me formulate lessons, resources, etc.--not so much just a calendar/schedule.

    Any suggestions?

I am using per to keep track of the work we do that day. I laid out a schedule, but won't keep to it too strictly. I fill it in at the end of each day.

I am a fly by the seat of my pants and if we want to do three hours of science one day, I'll just spread it over the three

days assignments for record keeping. It's really to keep myself accountable and to make sure I am on task.  As far as lesson planing

I just do it on paper. There are lots of websites that offer free lesson plans if you need them. I can't really think of anywhere off hand that

would let you just plan online. If I find anything I'll pass it on to you, or if I find a feature on PER that you can use that for, I'll pass that on too.

I had the same problem last year.  I got everything set up, but then it seemed too rigid for our laid back schedule.  I ended up not being able to stick to the hourly schedule each day.  It was too time consuming to keep editing the days or lessons to move them to another day, so I stopped using it.

I'm giving it another try this year, though.  Now that my dd is 14, I am finding the need to be more strict with our time schedules.  Our laid back schedules of earlier years, often made "school" work last far longer than it should.  This year I'm giving her a set amount of time to work on specific subjects, and if she needs more time, the remainder becomes her "homework."  We've only just started our year this week, but she seems to like it.  She finds that when she does everything on a set schedule, it frees up the better part of her afternoon for things that "she" wants to do. :-)

I find too that when my daughter is not wanting to do what I have told her to do, I can say, "Sorry, but it's on the schedule."
And she will sigh and do. It works with her because she is a Type A personality. I am not, so I have to find ways to be

more structured for her sake. She thrives on schedules and structure. So this will really help me to do that for her.
