We are learning that disabilities are challenges but they are becoming different-ABILITES. We concentrate of how we can help others and our deficits become smaller. Besides when everyone is busy giving, no one is lacking. Our goal is to give hope, encouragement, love and unity of resources globaly. We do not have time to feel sorry for ourselves, we have work to do.
Today, I went to a wonderful Parent Information Network Support Group in Houston, TX which is near by my town, La Porte, TX. I learned so much from the other parents with Special Needs. Most of them have been down the road we are going down now and smoothed the way for us. I felt loved and protected today and left with much hope for Joshua's future.
If you do not have a support group, I urge you to take this time to sow seeds and reap a harvest. God has a great big world of talented people out there willing to give you everything you need if you sow the seed. Blessings, Gayla.Wingate@e-vine.org Aunt and guardian of traumatic brain injured nephew, 10 year old Joshua
