Homeschool Community

Has anyone on the forum ever been contacted by their local school authorities questioning their homeschooling?  I'd like to hear about your experiences and how they were resolved.

Hi, I have been homeschooling my son since last September.  I got a letter from the North Carolina Department of Administration wanting me to come in and meet with them in Februrary.  I am not sure if I want to do this or not.  I have nothing to hid but I do feel like it is the Department of Educations way of putting me under a microscope and looking for any mistakes I may have made while homeschooling my son.  I would love to hear from homeschoolers in North Carolina and other states.  At this point I am not sure what I am going to do!
