I'm sending out a word of encouragement for the new homeschoolers, the veterans, and everyone in between. I've been homeschooling for 9 years, but I still have those days when I scratch my head in disbelief that I could possibly be having such a seemingly pointless day. Although those days are far less frequent than in years gone by, they rear their ugly heads every now and then. In the words of Robert Louis Stevenson "Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant." The Word of God talks about sowing and reaping - you reap what you sow. Unfortunately (and fortunately sometimes), our reaping can come significantly later than the sowing. Not all plants yield their fruit at the exact same time. In due season we will reap if we faint not. Keep going even when it seems like the day is a total loss. Sometimes we just have to wait for that one little spark to ignite. Keep planting those good seeds of wisdom.
