Hi,

Is anyone on the Forum doing school over the summer?  What are you up to?

Hi there!

    My children are not really doing "summer school", but we are going over subjects they had problems with during our school year. They are also reading and discussing classic literature so their minds don't go numb with all the swimming, ball playing and of course xbox.

Good Morning, Wheatonmomma!

 We do what we call "school lite" during the summer.  Mostly reading, some "fun" math (logic problems, games, etc.), this sumer we will include a little science material.  But NO SCHEDULE!  If something comes up or we want to plan an event....no problem, we don't let "school lite" interfere!  How 'bout you? What do you do?

 Yep we are doing summer school mostly because I don't want to be scrambling to fit in a full day of first grade when the fall

comes. I am really busy and want to ease into it. We have been doing M, W, F. Math, English, and Summer Science. We have 

started a wild flower study over the summer since they will all be gone come fall. We are pressing and identifying them and will study 

them more in Sept along with trees and other plants. We also did the summer reading program at our library and our churches 

VBS and I have put them on as courses. Fall is almost here and I'm not so nervious because I have been doing some school, and really

glad we did it.  PS anyone know if there is spell check here? I am a terrible speller and rely on spell check too much, but need one.
